The Bible Belt
Rafi and I took a road trip 2 weeks ago. The target destination was a few nights of camping in Great Smoky Mountains National Park(in Tennessee and North Carolina) but the trip entire put 4000km on our crappy Pontiac G6 rental and took us through Cincinnati, Louisville, Nashville, Knoxville, Cherokee and Pittsburg. It was a nice, fun, cheap weeklong trip...we may have missed the big terrorist bust and the start of the World Cup(aka The Great Car-Window Flag Racket) but we did get to see the famous Knoxville Sunsphere and some wild turkey...of which none of the following pictures are:

(above)Louisville...ask Rafi how to pronounce it right...he learned from seeing the movie "Elizabethtown"

(above)The new Grand Ole Opry. We caught the Opry...it was a surprising highlight for me.

(above)Cades Cove...a popular drive within the park.

Great picturs. Looks more like a romantic getaway. ;-)
Mini tripod...except the one with the sign...some newlyweds took that for us.
The newlyweds weren't us, Sarah...
Dang.. love the picture of the big bat... and chili... and "Smokey" without the 'e'? Sounds like an awesome trip guys. No border skirmishes this time I hope..
