The neXus Fellowship
Let me get to the point. How possible do you guys think it would be to get us all on a weeklong cruise together if we had enough advance planning? Like in late 2007 or even early 2008?
New York was nice, and I always fondly remember the group trips we use to take, such as camping, visiting Charles, visiting Damian.
I'm not completely unempathetic...I know that reality has a firm bite on many of us in terms of finances, family responsibilities, work responsibilities and general laziness, but what if....just what if we all made a pact to take a Nexus cruise?
Why a cruise? Well, from what I've been told:
- Relatively easy to plan...one price and it's all taken care of
- Never been done by a lot of us(I think)
- Great flexibility as far as hanging out together or wanting to do our own thing is concerned
- All you can eat all the time with lots of variety and quality
- Relatively inexpensive
- Have you seen cruise ships lately?
And I'm serious about the fellowship as well. I'm dreaming this up with the intention of it being a group trip. So if this dream becomes reality, we'd enter into a pact not to back out except for the gravest of circumstances. And as a show of how serious I am, I've even opened the blog up to anonymous commenting in case not everybody has an account.
So, anybody think this may be worth persuing? Or should I just live out my mid-life crisis like everybody else and go buy a sports car?

2007 eh..?? I don't think that I've got anything planned.. I'd definately be interested, depending on my finances, but I don't think I could go all Frodo on this one yet.. I personally don't know where I'll be in 6 months, let alone a year and a half..
With a family now, it's really tough to say what I'll be doing next week, let alone a year or two from now. If it's next year, it'll be a definite no as Philip will still be too young. 2008? Too far off, but if he's over 2 years old, it might be better (that's what Wendell said anyway). Sounds like a great idea, but aren't cruises for old people or people on their honeymoon?? hehe. :)
You the man, g8who...for being the first to acquiesce, you get to be Aragorn.
